 IC Clamps for Logic Analyzers?

Hi all, I've just ordered a logic analyser (a DSLogic Plus) to help with some issues I'm experiencing with my TTL CPU.

Question: does anybody know the name of the "clamps" that you can put on traditional through-hole DIP ICs so that you can attach the logic probe leads to the "posts" that are at the top of the clamp. I know they exist, but I don't know what they are called to search for them.

Also, any recommendations on which ones to buy and where from?!

Many thanks, Warren

Answering my own question: IC test clips. Goodness, they are expensive!

I found that a lot of the useful things like cables, IC adaptors, test clips and pogo pins are still good value when bought from Chinese suppliers. They use this stuff in their factories, and so their local suppliers produce economical parts.

You might wish to have a look on Alibaba or AliExpress or TaoBao - for example

I recently bought some adaptor pcbs to convert SMT ICs to DIP - they were a fraction of the cost you would pay locally - and arrived within 2 weeks of placing the order

That looks like an excellent collection! I have bought many from Jameco, and I would warn that just sitting in storage between uses, the nylon can get pulled apart by the strong spring. What I have done to remedy that is to make a clip like this from a paper clip to hold the sides in just a tad to take the spring pressure off the hinge and much of the rest of the clip:

(Obviously you'll need to remove it before using the DIP clip the normal way.)

I have a blue one from Pomona Electronics that's made differently and they doesn't have that problem.
