This project has been quiet for a few months, but the latest activity was aimed at moving from a simple architecture running at 12MHz to a pipelined architecture at 100MHz.
See

and

It's not quite complete and correct, but Dave AKA hoglet is working on it for the multifarious copro project.

It's good enough to run Windows and Lemmings though:

Thanks to Ed for posting this link.

I just wanted to follow up and say I'm been slowly working through several issues this core had, that were preventing it running the BBC Master 512 software stack. It's certainly been one of the most challenging thing's I've had to debug, especially the most recent interrupt related bug. I've been keeping a running commentary going in the thread over on startdot forums.

You can see a change log here:
https://github.com/hoglet67/CoPro6502/c ... rc/zet/zet

It's now working well enough to run Dos Plus, Gem, and both versions of BBC Basic.

I've made Zeus, the main author, aware of these fixes, but I've not heard back as to whether he plans to roll them back in.

Dave

Brilliant work Dave - an exciting adventure to follow along with (I hope you've been enjoying it too)
That Stardot thread picks up the '86 activity about here (although it interleaves other CPU and tube issues throughout)
