Anyone have any info for devices with the 'RP' suffix, please? I've got datasheets for 'P' and 'EP' devices but haven't found anything yet for 'RP'.

Thanks in advance.

Cheerful regards, Mike, K8LH

Hi, Mike

I have no info to offer re this RP variant -- sorry. But perhaps you and other 6309 fans will be interested in the pdf book by Chris Burke, "THE 6309 BOOK -- Inside the 6309 Microprocessor".

BTW, what is this RP variant? I expect 'P' signifies the plastic package, but what's 'R'?

cheers
Jeff

Hi, Jeff.

The Chinese vendors seem to have NOS (New Old Stock) HD63C09P, HD63C09EP, and HD63C09RP devices but I can't seem to find any information on the 'RP' variant.

Thank you for mentioning The 6309 Book by Chris Burke. I do have a copy of it.

Cheerful regards, Mike, K8LH

I have seen an R suffix on 68xxx series processors. 68020RC-12 I think.

Could it stand for temperature grade, or radiation hardened ?

I've seen that a 'R' stands for Tape vs Reel designator, found it in a IC nomenclature book. Not sure if it applies here.

Looks likely that R means Revised. From a similarly named product:
