What is the best way to advertise AnyCpu.org?

I posted about it on Natami.net and it has 189 page views and I posted about this board on Amiga.org and it received 113 page views. That is 302 page views. I'm sure there are people watching but how do we get them involved? They already know from 6502.org and a microcontroller / cpu list.

I can't post the links everywhere because that would be spamming and people who aren't involved in electronics might not try unless they are (1) either personally involved in electronics or (2) there is a kit or project they can copy.

I'm still waiting before promoting. The site needs to be attractive before it's visited: we need the subsubforum solved and we need representative and interesting posts with pictures. Because we don't want visitors, we want engaged subscribers!

I'm wondering if you could create interest for the 6502 and AnyCpu.org by creating tutorials for the 6502 and the Bus Pirate Education kit. It is probably best to get one before the price goes up.

I love the idea of this forum. However, I do seriously think it has some way to go before it becomes all it can be(TM).

There are _14_ fine individuals who have registered as users. On one of the other forums I read (lemon64) there are currently 10089.

Do we have any plans to Spread The Word? Are we waiting for something?
I would be happy to do some postings on the other forums I follow, but it would be nice to have a standardized one-line description of what we want to describe it as?

Personally, I am still waiting before doing any announcement. (See viewtopic.php?f=24&t=8&p=215#p215)

It's true that there are few members, but they are high quality! (But we could do with more contributions - see viewtopic.php?f=24&t=15) And, it's relatively new - we should expect growth to be organic.

In my view we need to continue to make posts, especially with pictures and explanatory text, so that when people do come, there's something here to give them a reason to register. At some point there will be a sufficiently attractive post that there will be an influx of visitors: a good discovery and discussion which is then mentioned on Hackaday for example.

It's a good point about the oneline description. How about
"For people who build computers from microprocessors: if it's not 6502.org, it's anycpu.org"

Cheers
Ed

Ah! I wonder if you are the only one so far. But of course the idea is to find all those 1802, 6800, 6809, 68000, 2900 and Z80 fans. Maybe even 8080, 8086, etc! And people building their own CPUs.

Cheers

I came from the notice over at natami.net.

So hoping that the FPGArcade gets a release. With source. That is a fire-sure buy for me.
