I have expanded one of my AIMs with a home built wire-wrap add-on which gives me 40K RAM, the standard user 6522 VIA, 6520 PIA, 8255 PPI, 6840 timer/counter and a 6551 ACAI. I built a case for it with a large breadboard on the top, where all the peripheral chip signals terminate, so I can build in-situ almost with regards to AIM modifications (such as different displays).
