There are a lot of interesting details in the 1979 Motorola databook scanned
here, including a datasheet for their MC10800 aka M10800 bitslice chipset. It seems Moto were already a second source for 2900 bitslice parts, and had some kind of enhanced part in the 2903, and they had their 14500 1-bit offering too, but the 10800 was completely different from the 2900.
