I've been working on yet another emulator this time for a Motorola 6800. This evening it reached the point of being able to boot an unmodified SWTBUG ROM image (although I had to port the code to my 6800 assembler to build it-- Part of Dev65).
This time I've coded the emulator in C for a PIC32MX170 device (in a 28 pin SPDIP package). The emulation has 56K of RAM and 8K of ROM with one page reserved at $8000 for peripherals (so far only a MP-S serial card). The emulation will run at around 1Mhz on the 48Mhz MIPS core.
The eventual goal is to build a complete SWTPC 6800 system emulator running the FLEX operating system using 3 chips (emulator, VGA display and SD Card coprocessor).
When its a bit more stable I'll check point the code to Github.
