Started a hardware project to build a 65c816 based modular computer. It's using mainly low power CMOS for parts. I've been posting about this computer on 6502.org. I looked at using a couple of different cpu chips and the '816 is about the easiest to interface. It will be composed of four boards and a backplane. All 3" x 4". 1) cpu board 2) memory board 3) video board 4) audio board + keyboard + serial There may be another board for more I/O at some point (memory card).
Sent pcb layouts out to get manufactured. Got some parts in today. But no 65816's yet. I looked around for my solderless breadboards for testing but couldn't find them. I have a bad feeling I accidently discarded them when I moved last year.
