Two years have passed since this project started, and once again we have to renew our hosting and domain. I've created a new pitching at the homepage of the website: http://anycpu.org/

Mmm, is that a Flash thing which I can't see? Might be a good idea to post the campaign and paypal details here?

I'll never see flash because I have it turned off due to security reasons.

Hm.. I don't see anything either?
If it's really flash, that's a problem because new browsers don't include flash these days.

I got a preview from browserling.com

[temporarily unable to post the image, but it's a $280 campaign, $10 so far, for two years of hosting fees.]

(I suspect the magic dajgoro is looking for is partly the progress bar, and partly the donation to paypal without broadcasting his email address.)

Yes, exactly.
With that plugin my email address is not visible on the site, and it shows other users how much money has been collected so I don't end up with extra money, or too little money.
If anyone has another method please let me know.
Anyway you can send payments to dajgoro (dot) labinac (at) hotmail (dot) com and I'll post here the funding progress.

+ 20$
+ 25$
+ 10$
+ 50$
+ 30$

Looks like you could set up a paypal.me alias for yourself, to solve the identity problem.

Bit of an issue this time is that I received the remind email only 10 days before the hosting expires, so we have time until 17.9.2016 to pay for it, after that the page wont be accessible. Data won't be deleted for another month after that.
As for those who can't use the flash plugin, I have been updating the post above with every donation received.

Might you have the problem of not getting the money from paypal for 30 days? Or can you cover the gap?

I think I could change the plan to pay for one year, or something like that if we don't raise enough money on time.

I see we're half way there on the front page - presumably actually a little better with some direct contributions that don't show there?

Another possibility if we don't reach the needed sum would be to get a cheaper hosting service than the current one, as ed suggested to me. Downside of that would be that the site would have to go off for a bit until the migration process is completed.

We're not terribly busy here - although I confess I check several times a day, we don't see more than a few threads per week. So a week or two of downtime, if it was a means to ensure the site survives for another two years, would be a good tradeoff, for me.

What's the current grand total of contributions? (After any commission paid)

(I see the donation panel on the front page now shows an ended campaign, but presumably any further generous donations are still possible by direct paypal to Dajgoro's mail address, as posted upthread.)
