RISC machines have replaced CISC and micro code for a long time, but have things impoved in design as we still try to tweek things for
this and that but still keep the flat RISC logic? The original concept of mico code is you have simple computer, emulate a larger computer. This is a recusive process. Has any one designed computer logic design as a recursive system? OS order code -> Language order code ->
micro code -> risc code -> gate and alu logic. Keeping the recusive concept one would start at the simplest case and move up.
