Building an ARM based microcomputer at home To build a bare minimum Linux computer, one needs a decent processor and some memory. Goodness, this seems to be mostly about meeting a self-set challenge to deal with the most difficult surface mount soldering. |

A couple more thoughts... - through-hole is most friendly, we've seen small ARM in through-hole (tgl6502) and we've also seen Linux on through-hole 68k (68Katy) - next up is surface mount which isn't BGA - then we have BGA - and finally we have these high-density BGA on small pitches... |

Have you seen the pcb layout? How the hell did he manage to snake all that trace length matching like that when kicad offers no special tools for that? The pcb is a maze. |
