Last night I was thinking about the 1969 movie "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" and the 1971 movie "How to Frame a Figg" and was wondering what kind of computers were featured. Does anyone know those or others? They were old even at the time.

How to Frame a Figg
Not present!
So I've posted the question at https://plus.google.com/u/0/10704982391 ... RjJkryewNw

Enjoyed that. May have to check out some of the retro movies featuring the B205.

As far as the gplus community members seem to think, the machine in the Figg film is just fictional set-dressing.

What a disappointment. I thought they used to computers to generate the random mumbo jumbo scripts that the actors use when talking about technical issues. If they don't use the on-set computers for that purpose, how do they string together those random words together? :D

Here's the computer in "How to Frame a Figg":

From youtube videos, the Burroughs B205 seems to be only a control console; but according to Wikipedia, it's a computer used in many movies. There's a slowish panning of the full computer on "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" starting at 1:01 at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3asaPmvapg
And another picture from Ed's link above:

Another one is in Rescue From Gilligan's Island (1978), about 3:15 to 4:25, the control center for a spy satellite of an unnamed country but presumably the USSR.
